Beautiful Sleeveless Plunging V-Neckline A-Line Wedding Dress with Open V-Back
Rebecca Ingram for Maggie Sottero 'Raelynn 9RT827'
Condition: I examined the dress and did not notice any tears on the tulle or any loosening of the embellishments on the bodice or the skirt. The only thing I did notice was one of the bead details on the back is slightly loose (on the left side of the back close to the zip). My wedding was indoors, we went on the balcony for some pictures but the weather was good. Did not walk through any grass or anything. The bottom of the dress did get a little dirty from the dance floor but I had the dress cleaned and it shows no sign of any dirt or discoloration. Honestly looks exactly like it did the day I picked it up from the bridal shop before the wedding!
Style: I loved this dress because it was very flowy and feminine. I really liked the embellishments on the skirt as well as the beading. I loved banding at the waist! I felt it gave the dress a very unique look and was probably the feature most guests pointed out to me that they liked. I also have kind of an athletic build so I prefer clothing that cinches at the waist to give me more curves. The skirt had a body but wasn't over-the-top fluffy. I liked the open back and the sheer cutouts in the bodice; it kept it youthful but still classy and refined. It just fulfilled my taste -A modern classic. I sincerely loved this dress and I hope the next bride enjoys it as much as I did! I really felt like a princess wearing it.
Alterations: I am 5'6", and my seamstress hemmed the dress to sit right above my toes while wearing 2.5-inch heels. She did not alter the straps of the dress at all as they fit me fine. She had to take in the dress at the waist and back where the buttons are. My waist is 28". She took out the cups that came in the dress and sewed in different ones for me (I did not wear a bra under the dress). And she also added a bustle to the dress. So the only alterations were the waist, back, bust cups, hem, and bustle.
